Inflammation or swelling on Asthma

Inflammation, or swelling, is a normal response of the body against injury or infection. Blood flow increased in the affected places and enter cells invade and avoid problems that attack. The healing process has begun. In general, when healing is complete, the inflammation subsided. Sometimes, the healing process causes scar. The main problem in asthma, however, is that inflammation can not be solved entirely by itself. In the short term, this resulted in the recurrence of asthma attacks. In the long run, it can lead to a permanent thickening of bronchial walls, called the "change form" the airways (airway "remodeling). If this occurs, the narrowing of the bronchial tubes may become irreversible and reaction capabilities the poor to medicines. Therefore, the goals of asthma treatment are: (1) in the short term, control the airway inflammation, thereby reducing the reactivity of the airways, and (2) in the long term, prevent the transformation of the channel -air channels.
Signs of setting prevention and treatment of asthma is airway inflammation.Control of inflammation seems to also prevent changes in airway shape and thereby prevent the permanent loss of lung function.
Various triggers in susceptible individuals resulting in inflammation of the airways.
Inflammation induces a state of extended hiperreaktivitas airways, which can lead to changes in the form of the airways (airway remodeling) unless treated effectively.
